forc.

Terms of use, in plain words.

What you may do on forc, what is ours and what is yours. Each section first as we mean it, then the pointer to the legal wording.

Your recipes are yours

What you write stays yours. You only grant forc the right to show and process it the way the app needs to – including variants others make of it.

Public means: others may cook on

Anyone may cook a public recipe and develop it further as their own variant. Your name stays on it as the origin. Private recipes are seen by nobody but you.

Variants are works of their own

Whoever makes a variant is responsible for it. The original is not changed. If the author adopts a change back, the reference to the person it came from stays.

What is not allowed

No copying other people's recipe texts verbatim, no advertising dressed up as a recipe, no content that endangers people. We delete such things and tell you why.

Your account

You can take your data with you as a file and delete your account at any time. Your recipes and variants go with it. Variants others made of your recipes stay with them – with your name as the origin.

Liability

forc is a cookbook, not a dietitian. Allergies, cooking times, hygiene: check them yourself. We are liable for the app, not for the food.

Changes

If these terms change, we tell you beforehand by e-mail and in the app. Nothing applies retroactively.

Law and place

German law applies. We would rather settle disputes by e-mail than in court.

The plain paragraphs describe how forc is built and count as a promise. The legal wording of each section is marked in brackets and comes from a law firm; until then, only its subject is listed here.
